3) Conformism – Convince the other person that its the norm and everybody is doing it. Going with the trend. This technique requires good conviction power and confidence of the manipulator. In my words, Experience is the after taste of a service or product. Companies try their level best to leave the most loyal after taste that would linger in the minds of the customer and make them crawl back for more. For instance if we look at the exciting world of Disney land. And how it creates memories to treasure amongst the young ones. This is the kind of experience that cos are looking to generate through their products and services. What we’r talking about here is the desirability quotient that companies target. They make the product desirable to the customer converting his want for the product into a need.

Note: An important distinction to make here is the most often perceived interchangeable words – Customer and Consumer! Customers are individuals who do the purchasing, while Consumers are the people who actually consume or use the product. They may or may not be the same person.
